the wave is carved into this flowing form from solid
beams, finished in a hand rubbed oil. Bed siderails

Settee
A traditional design made famous by Henry Weeks
around 1880 is still considered one of the finest
examples ever of Hawaiian furniture. This mirror
matched pair is built of solid curly koa, finished
in oil and is a design proven to last centuries.

Rose Bookcase
Milo
Behind a lattice of Milo, a sculpted
rose twists on each side of this cabinet with its curly
Koa petals, bordered with a trim of Milo.
The pheasant wood stem came from
a tree planted by Queen Lilioukalani on palace grounds 100
years ago. Adorned with jet-black Ebony thorns. Curly mango
leaves add contrast to these rich woods grown on the Big
Island

Raquet Back Dining
Chair
Milo with upholstered seat
Each chair backrest is carved
with maile leaves and the racquet pattern. Mortice
and tenon joinery guarantee a long life. This chair
won Juror's Choice Award in the Big Island Woodworkers
Guild Show in 1993.

Mack's Set
Dining Table & Chairs
Milo
This set has ten sculpted and
carved racquet back chairs and an eight foot double
pedestal leaf table that opens to eleven feet. The carefully
selected materials create a finished piece with even
grain contrasted by rich deep maroon and blonde color
brought out with a hand rubbed oil finish. The sturdy
construction is supported with graceful lines and exposed
mortice and tenon joinery to create a stunning piece.

Hepplewhite Cabinet
Curly Koa, Milo, Mahogany
Milo beading inside the door
frames and side panels offers rich contrast to the
Curly Koa, arched doors, and Mahogany crotch veneer
side panels. Sitting above the Koa dental is an open
bonnet top with gooseneck molding shaped by hand.
At its center is a fluted Milo pediment. Built using
dovetail joinery, this cabinet features a solid Koa
back, brass hinges and locking doors for a secure
place to display collectibles.

Milo
A strong line forms the elegantly
curved legs in this subtle, yet bold piece. Made of
solid wood with contrasting light and dark grain and
a hand rubbed oil finish that gives the piece a warm
glow.

Buffet
Curly Koa and Milo
A solid two-inch thick curly
koa top with beveled edge highlights this piece with
tapered, sweeping side. Two dovetailed drawers, book
matched end to end, sit above the three door storage
area. Dovetails are used for all exposed joinery. Solid
brass hinges and milo handles with a hand rubbed oil
finish make this a distinctive piece built to last.

Blanket Chest
Curly Koa, Milo & Sandalwood
This bold design has a milo
handle that fronts the chest lid, which is secured in
back with three ohia hinges. Inside is a curly koa,
two-compartment tray that lifts out to expose a large
storage area with a solid sandalwood bottom. Milo handles
at each end of the chest make moving easy. This piece
won People's Choice Award in the 1994 Big Island Woodworkers
Guild Show.

Curly Koa & Milo
Tapered legs cut from solid
wood rise to meet the dovetailed table rail. The two
inch edge of the book matched table top seems to hover
above the rail supported by Milo "beams".

Contemporary Dining
Set
Curly Koa
The backrests of these ten
chairs are scrolled in a tropical design and contoured
to fit the back. Wooden seats are carved and hand
shaped for comfort. Made of solid koa using carefully
selected wood with mortice and tenon joinery, their
high backs offer a distinguished presence. The table
is ten feet long and fifty-four inches wide with long,
curved sides and a two-inch thick top. The entire
set is finished in hand rubbed oil.

Over 100 dovetail joints were
cut to build this piece, using carefully selected koa

The carved and shaped base of the table flows effortlessly
into the beaded apron that is adorned with roundels
and appliquéd accents that set off the oval
table top.
