Occasionally a fresh coat of oil will need to be applied to your furniture. This is done by applying a generous amount of Deft natural oil finish with a soft clean cloth (an old T-shirt is good). Wipe clean while still wet. Clean up with mineral spirits. This must be done in a well-ventilated area and rags disposed of properly. They are very flammable. Deft can be purchased at any hardware store. For pieces that will be used to hold food, a coat of pure mineral oil should be applied on a regular basis.
